Fill Row Unit Drive Gear Case

IMPORTANT: Do not pressure wash directly at seals or vent plug.

Inspect row unit drive gear case for leaks.

IMPORTANT: Lubricants that are not recommended can result in high start-up torques, rapid wear, residue buildup, and damage to components. Always follow recommended service intervals.

Row unit gear cases are shipped from the factory filled with HY-GARD ™ JDM J2OC oil. Use only HY-GARD oil when adding to, or re-filling row unit gear cases.

NOTE: Check oil level every time hydraulic motor is separated and reinstalled on gear case. (It is normal for a small quantity of oil lost during this operation with the O-ring seal at the motor)

With gear case sitting level fill as follows.

1. Remove fill plug (A).
2. Add oil until it reaches bottom of fill plug hole (A).
3. Install plug.
