Adjust Stationary Knife

causym CAUTION: To avoid serious injury, always wear gloves when handling knives.

1. Remove carriage bolts (A) and guide (B).

2. Loosen nuts (A).

NOTE: Clearance (D) must be same across length of stationary knife and rotary knife. Use half shim if clearance is not same from one end of stationary knife to opposite end.

3. Add shim(s) (A) to achieve clearance between stationary knife (B) and rotary knife (C). Clearance (D) must be within specification.

Specification

Stationary Knife Blade-to-Rotary Knife -Clearance

0.127-0.762 mm

(0.005-0.030 in.)

4. Tighten nuts (A). Check clearance. If clearance is not within specification, repeat previous step.

NOTE: Alternate method is to loosen bolts in knife floor and lower floor.

5. Install guide (B) using carriage bolts (A).
