Filling Moistener System Tank (Mixing Solution in Tank)

causym CAUTION: Flammable petroleum wetting agents can accidentally ignite and cause serious injury or death to you or others. Do not use a flammable petroleum wetting agent.

Keep spindle cleaner out of reach of children. It can cause serious injury or death if ingested. Induce vomiting if swallowed. Spindle cleaner can cause eye irritation. Flush eyes with water if cleaner makes contact with eyes. In either case, contact a physician immediately.

IMPORTANT: Water MUST be clean and free of trash. Contaminated water will cause a malfunction in the moistening system.

Water and cleaner WILL NOT mix if cleaner is poured into empty tank and water then added.

Use of some wetting agents may lower cotton grade. Water MUST be added first.

Moistening system tank can be filled using remote fill valve (A) or through cap (B). To mix solution in tank through either remote fill attachment or cap:

1. Fill tank half full of water.

2. Engage fan to agitate water.

3. Press water pressure button (A) to access adjustment setting.

4. Rotate dial (B) to highest pressure.

5. Press confirm button (C) to enter new setting.

6. While water is agitating, slowly add John Deere Spindle Cleaner or Wetting Agent. (See Using John Deere Spindle Cleaner in this section, or product label for proper mixing ratios.)

7. Finish filling tank with water.

8. Continue agitation for approximately five minutes.

NOTE: Use pre-mixed solution within 24 hours. If not used in one day, agitate solution for several minutes before picking.

Additional cleaner can be added to tank that already contains pre-mixed solution. Determine how much solution (gallons) is needed to fill the tank. Add this amount of clean water AND enough cleaner concentrate to meet correct mix ratio and fill tank.
