CAUTION:
Explosive release of fluids from pressurized cooling system can cause serious burns to you or others. NEVER remove radiator pressure cap when coolant or engine is hot. Wait until engine coolant is cool to remove radiator pressure cap.
1.
Drain and flush cooling system. (See FLUSHING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine and Drive Train section for proper procedure.)
2.
Replace thermostats and check remaining system components for serviceability. Replace, if necessary.
3.
Close drain plug and fill cooling system with proper type and amount of coolant mixture. (See FILLING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine and Drive Train section, DIESEL ENGINE COOLANT in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolants section for proper coolant specifications and MACHINE SPECIFICATIONS in Specifications section for system refill capacity.)
