Cleaning Cab Filters

IMPORTANT: Avoid damaging pre-cleaner. Do NOT attempt removal. Clean using vacuum ONLY.

Clean cab filters by one of the following methods:

1. Tap gently on flat surface, dirty side down. Do not tap on a tire.

causym CAUTION: Compressed air can cause dust and debris to become airborne which can cause serious injury to you or others by striking eyes or unprotected areas. Reduce compressed air to less than 210 kPa (2.1 bar) (30 psi) when using for cleaning purposes. Clear area of bystanders. Guard against flying chips and wear personal protection equipment including eye protection.

2. Direct compressed air (210 kPa [2.1 bar] [30 psi] maximum) through filter in opposite direction of arrows on filter.

3. Soak filter 15 minutes in warm water (not over 38°C [100°F]) with R36757 John Deere Filter Element Cleaner or its equivalent (non-sudsing detergent).

4. Rinse filter until clean with water from hose. Hose should have a maximum pressure of 272 kPa (2.7 bar) (40 psi).

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage to wet filter. DO NOT use compressed air to dry filter as it can rupture wet element.

5. Shake excessive water from filter and allow element to dry. DO NOT use compressed air to dry filter as it might rupture wet element.
