Unplug Applicator Pipe

causym CAUTION: Applicator knives and hoses may be under pressure resulting in rapid discharge of anhydrous ammonia and cause serious injury or death to you or others. ALWAYS verify applicator system is properly bled BEFORE adjusting components. (See BLEED ANHYDROUS AMMONIA in this section.) When working in vicinity of anhydrous ammonia applicator, wear protective clothing and equipment. (See WORKING WITH ANHYDROUS AMMONIA in Safety section.)

causym CAUTION: Exposure to anhydrous ammonia is harmful EVEN after bleeding system because cold spots can occur in hoses. Removing hardware or hoses can cause cold spots to be exposed to air temperature which can cause severe injury or death to you or others. Verify all lines are bled completely.

causym CAUTION: Worn knives can be sharp and can injure you or others. Wear gloves when servicing.

1. Remove hose clamp (A) and disconnect hose (B) from applicator pipe.

2. Insert 6.35 mm (1/4 in.) stiff rod into applicator pipe to unplug pipe.

3. Reinstall hose with hose clamp. Repeat process on other plugged pipes.
