Repair Tire-Main Frame

CAUTION: To help prevent personal injury or death caused by unexpected movement, be sure to service machine on a level surface. If machine is connected to tractor, engage parking brake and place transmission in "PARK", shut off engine and remove key.

1. Park tractor.

2. Verify machine is properly connected to tractor. (See Attaching and Detaching section.)

3. Lower machine with disk gangs on ground.

IMPORTANT: Removing outside tire is necessary when servicing inside tire.

4. Loosen wheel bolts on tire to be removed.

CAUTION: Wheel modules are heavy, awkward and can swing up or down and can cause serious injury to you or others. Always stay away from possible swing and pinch point areas while repairing tire.

Always be aware of area while working under machine. Wear close fitting clothing and safety equipment appropriate to the job.

CAUTION: Raise and support machine using proper equipment. Falling machine could cause injury or death to you or others. Use jack with 18,144 kg (20 ton) MINIMUM capacity.

NOTE: 5-SECTION MACHINES ONLY-Machine hydraulics will not raise wheels off ground when in transport position.

5. Raise machine using jack at main frame location (A).

CAUTION: Removing tire may cause walking beam to swing up from weight of other wheel and can cause serious injury to you or others. Verify walking beam is flat against wood block before removing tire. Always stay away from possible swing and pinch point areas when removing tire.

NOTE: Inner wheel can be removed by rolling or sliding under main frame.

NOTE: Removing standard (A) may ease tire removal.

6. Remove and repair tire.

8. Inflate tires to correct specification.

9. Lower wheels to ground.

10. Tighten wheel bolts to specification.
