causym CAUTION: Sweeps are sharp and can cause serious injury to yourself or others. Wear protective gloves and eye glasses when installing sweeps.

1. Move sweep (A) up casting (B) until end of spring (C) secures sweep by catching in notches (D). Clicking sound of spring against sweep notch can normally be heard.

IMPORTANT: END OF SPRING (C) SHOULD NOT BE VISIBLE FROM TOP OF SWEEP. If spring is visible, sweep is not properly seated and locked. Failure to seat spring properly will lead to loss of sweep.

2. Attach Sweep from Front: Stand in front of shank with hands on either side of sweep. Quickly move tip of sweep upward and toward rear of shank to overcome resistance of spring. Listen for click of spring in notch.

3. Attach Sweep from Rear: Stand behind shank with hands on either side of sweep. Quickly move tip of sweep upward and toward rear of shank to overcome resistance of spring. Listen for click of spring in notch.

4. Severe or Rocky Conditions: Hit point of sweep with hammer after sweep has been installed to first notch.

5. When all sweeps are locked, machine is ready for transport.

IMPORTANT: To completely lock sweeps, lower sweeps to ground at operating depth. Proceed forward in straight line at least 30.5 m (100 ft).

DO NOT back up machine with sweeps in ground. Damage to machine can occur.
