Adjusting 3 and 5-Bar Coil Tine Harrows

causym CAUTION: Sharp tines can puncture your foot or cause other personal injuries. Wear protective clothing, eye protection and gloves when working around harrow.

1. COIL TINE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT- Controls harrow aggressiveness and residue flow capability. Coil Tine angle should be adjusted per field conditions for best combined performance of residue flow and field leveling.

The coil tine has a range of six adjustments from least aggressive to most aggressive.

NOTE: For better residue flow use less aggressive settings.

2. Least Aggressive (A or B)- When L-pin is installed in front hole (A), harrow is in the least aggressive position.

Aggressive (C or D)- When L-pin is installed in top hole, harrow is in the middle aggressive position. This is the most aggressive setting for 3-bar harrows.

Most Aggressive (F)- When pin is installed in rear hole, harrow is in the most aggressive position.

Adjust tine angle by raising machine and move pin from shipping position (G) to desired position. Initial recommended tine angle is aggressive (C).
