Level Wings-Side-To-Side

IMPORTANT: To level machine correctly, it MUST BE LEVELED IN THE PROPER SEQUENCE as shown.

  • FIRST Level Machine Fore/Aft.

  • SECOND Level Wings Side-To-Side.

  • THIRD Level Disk Gangs.

If leveling machine is not done in this sequence, machine will not be level and will not function correctly.

IMPORTANT: Check tires for correct inflation before leveling.

Perform following procedure on a level surface.

Rephase depth control cylinders before leveling.

1. Park unfolded machine on a flat, level surface.

2. Check tires are properly inflated.

3. Rephase depth control cylinders.

NOTE: Level adjustment may not be same for both wings, due to variations in manufacturing. Adjust each wing so it is level front-to-rear.

4. Unfold wings to field position.

5. Lower frame so sweeps are 51 mm (2 in.) above level surface. Check that center frame is level.

6. Measure ground clearance at wing rear bar.

NOTE: Adjustment wrench is provided with machine.

7. Loosen jam nut (A) and turn adjusting nut (B) until wing ground clearance is equal to main frame and all sweeps are same distance from surface. Tighten jam nut.

8. Perform adjustment procedure on opposite wing.

IMPORTANT: For best results perform final leveling in field under normal operating conditions, at desired depth, and normal speed.

9. Observe machine from rear. Adjust wings to provide a level profile (end-to-end) as machine moves away.
