Depth Control and Disk Gang Rockshaft Bearing Inspection
NOTE:
There are two rockshaft types, depth control and disk gangs. Both use the same bearing type just different sizes.
IMPORTANT:
Replace bearings worn more than 4.8 mm (3/16 in.) or after 500 hours.
To inspect wheel arm bearings, do following:
1.
Measure gap between rockshaft (A) and bearing inserts (B).
2.
If gap is greater than 4.8 mm (3/16 in.), replace bearing inserts or after 500 hours. (See DEPTH CONTROL BEARING REPLACEMENT or DISK GANG BEARING REPLACMENT in this section.)
