Replace Platform Light Halogen Bulb

1. NOTE: (For important safety information regarding halogen bulbs, see Safety Rules When Replacing Halogen Bulbs in this section before performing this procedure).

   CAUTION: Avoid serious injury or death from electric shock or lamp explosion. This lamp is powered by 25,000 volts. Do not begin installation of HID-Xenon lights unless the lights are turned off, the engine is turned off, the key is removed, and appropriate eye protection is worn.

   A - Screws

   B - Cover

   Remove screws (A) and cover (B).

2.

   A - Spring Clip

   B - Light Assembly

   Remove spring clip (A) and light assembly (B).

3. CAUTION: Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling bulbs. Dangerous voltage spark-over may occur and cause damage/injury at the connector. See manufacturer warning packaged with replacement bulb.

   Disconnect connector (A) from light assembly (B).

4. Install replacement bulb.

5. Reassemble in reverse order of removal.

Replace Ballast Assembly

1.

   A - Retainer

   B - Ballast Assembly

   C - Connector

   D - Connector

   Remove HID bulb assembly. (See Replace Hid Bulb Assembly.)

2. Remove screws and retainer (A).

3. Remove ballast assembly (B) from housing and disconnect connectors (C) and (D).

4. Install in reverse order.
