Fold Boom In Limited Height Area

1. CAUTION: Avoid injury or death to others. Make sure no one is standing near boom when folding to transport position.

   NOTE: A fold and unfold quick reference decal is located on the console.

   Tilt booms up to maximum level by pressing top of fold/level switches (A).

2. Press bottom of raise/lower switch (B) and lower boom to lowest position.

   A - Fold Mode Switch

   B - Fold/Level Switches

   Press and hold fold mode switch (A) down while pressing top of fold/level switches (B) until the outer boom wing folds over onto the inner wing.

   NOTE: When using the fold mode switch (A), the top or bottom of the raise/lower switch (C) can be used in place of holding both of the corresponding fold/level switches (B). It will operate both sides of boom simultaneously.

4. Release fold/level switches and fold mode switch.

5. Press top of raise/lower switch (C) and raise boom to highest position.

6. IMPORTANT: To avoid excessive wear on booms, do not press and release repeatedly on fold/level switches to slow boom down when folding. Fold cylinders are designed to slow down automatically when close to final fold position.

   Press and hold fold mode switch (A) down while pressing top of fold/level switches (B) until inner wing sections fold into front cradles.

7. Release fold/level switches and fold mode switch.

8. Press bottom of raise/lower switch (C) and lower boom onto rear boom rests.

   IMPORTANT: Do not level cylinders when boom is folded in unless transporting machine on semi trailer and transport width needs to be under 3.7 m (12 ft) or machine damage will occur.

   Machine may be damaged if transported with booms not completely lowered onto boom rests. Booms must be folded and lowered onto boom rests before transporting.

   NOTE: Leveling cylinders need to be retracted only when transport width needs to be under 3.7 m (12 ft).
