Remove Air Cleaner Element

1. Remove plastic screw (A) from air filter housing.

2. Remove cap (B).

3. Pull primary element (A) out of filter housing as far as possible.

4. Simultaneously raise rear of element (A) up and pull front of element outward and down until there is enough clearance to remove element.

5. Clean dirt from inside of canister and cover.

NOTE: Primary air cleaner element may be cleaned prior to replacement interval. (See CLEANING AIR CLEANER ELEMENT in this section.)

6. Replace or clean filter element.

IMPORTANT: Remove secondary element (A) ONLY if it is to be replaced. Do not attempt to clean secondary element.

If secondary element is replaced, install new element immediately to prevent dust from entering air intake system.

7. Turn and pull gently to remove secondary filter (A).
