Clean And Inspect Check Valves-As Required

NOTE: Foam marker system check valves can plug due to foam marker solution drying and building up inside the valves. Prevent build-up by flushing foam marker system every 250 hours. (See Flush Foam Marker System-Every 250 Hours in this section for procedure.)

1. Disconnect tubes from check valve (A).

2. Soak check valves in warm, clean water.

3. Verify proper operation of check valves by blowing compressed air at no more than 69 kPa (0.69 bar) (10 psi) through valve in direction shown. Air should not pass through the valve in the opposite direction. If valve does operate as described, it must be replaced. (See Your John Deere dealer for replacement valves.)

IMPORTANT: Foamer will not operate and can be damaged if check valves are attached incorrectly. Arrow on check valves MUST be pointed toward mixing head.

4. Reinstall check valves.
