Using Auto Air Spring Leveling System

The automatic air suspension leveling system maintains a preset suspension height by controlling the amount of air in the unit's air suspension system. The system is designed to adjust the machine's height during operation. The system consists of a valve assembly, air lines, air dryer, dump control valve and a mechanical linkage. The system is supplied with high pressure air from the machine's on board air supply. The height control valves are located at the top of each suspension strut tower. The mechanical linkage between the machine frame and the wheel assembly moves the control lever on the valve allowing high pressure air from the machine's on board air system to raise the suspension if the machine is low or to exhaust air from the air bag if the machine is high. The air dryer protects the system components from moisture contamination. The dump control valve (A) is located at the remote load station. The dump control valve supplies high pressure air to a pilot operated valve within the height control valve assembly. When the operator turns this valve to the ON position, the height control valve exhausts the air in the air bags. All valves are activated at one time. The suspension strut with the least resistance will go down first.

causym CAUTION: The machine can lower very quickly when the dump control valve is activated. Clear the area around the machine before activating valve.

The Auto Air Spring puts a valve and linkage at each suspension assembly to automatically adjust the sprayer air springs for optimal field performance and ride quality. This system automatically adjusts for optimal field performance regardless of the amount of solution in the tank. The amount of chrome showing will be equal on all four suspension shafts and remain consistent regardless of the amount of solution in the tank.
