Adjust Coil Tine Harrows

  1. Never attempt to adjust level of harrow unless implement is engaged with ground at desired operating depth as serious injury can result from falling tines.

    When transporting, lock center frame tines in transport position to avoid dragging.

    TINE ANGLE ADJUSTMENT: Necessary to set harrow aggressiveness or residue flow capability.

    Pull pin (A) and set tine angle to desired position by inserting into one of four adjustment holes (B). The front hole is more aggressive, and the rear hole is least aggressive (E).



  2. Harrow pitch adjustment is required to level the tines after adjusting the aggressiveness angle according to the soil conditions. Remove cap screw and nut (C) and set bar to desired pitch by inserting cap screw into one of six adjustment holes (D).

  3. To obtain desired results it may be necessary to also adjust tine down-pressure adjustment screw.

    To maintain harrow level side-to-side, turn all height-adjusting screws same number of turns.

    HARROW DOWN PRESSURE: Promotes residue flow and even chemical incorporation.

    Lower harrows to ground.



  4. Remove pin (A) and stop block (B).

  5. Turn height-adjusting screw (C) counterclockwise to lower and clockwise to raise harrow.

  6. Recommended harrow setting is 51 mm (2 in) below bottom of disks.

  7. Reinsert stop block and pin.
