Leveling Main Frame, Side-to-Side—Integral
NOTE: Preliminary leveling may be done before going to field,
but a final leveling must be performed with machine
in field while operating at approximate working depth. Right-hand and left-hand tractor 3-point hitch lift links must
be set at same length. (See your tractor Operator's Manual.)
Machine side-to-side leveling is controlled by hitch lift links.
Side-to-side stability is maintained by stabilizer wheels.
Keep main frame level with ground and all standards at same
depth.
-
View machine from rear to check if main frame is level with
ground. If performing final leveling in field, stop tractor after
standards have entered ground to set working depth; stand behind machine,
and check if main frame is level with ground.
-
If main frame is not level with ground, raise machine out of
ground, then rest on ripper standards. This removes load from hitch
lift links, allowing them to turn easily.
-
Adjust side-to-side level using hitch lift links.
-
(See ADJUSTING STABILIZER WHEELS if main frame is still not
level with ground.)
