Leveling Main Frame, Front-to-Rear—Integral
-
NOTE: Preliminary leveling may be done before going to field,
but a final leveling must be performed with machine
in field while operating at approximate working depth. For best performance, frame should be level or tipped slightly
rearward. Tipping machine rearward reduces surface disturbance.
View machine from side to check if machine is level front-to-rear.
If performing final leveling in field, have a person view machine
as it is operating at approximate working depth.
-
Raise machine out of ground, then rest on ripper standards.
This removes load from tractor 3-point hitch center link, allowing
it to turn easily.
-
Adjust front-to-rear level as follows:
-
If rear of machine is high, lengthen center link.
-
If rear of machine is low, shorten center link.
