Check and Lubricate Suspension Scissors—100 Hours

  1. IMPORTANT: Use only John Deere SD Polyurea Grease. Use of other greases in the suspension system is not recommended. Use of other greases can result in premature wear of the suspension components.

    A - Scissor Joints

    B - Lubrication Fitting Locations (6 used)

    Check for looseness at each of three scissor joints (A).


  2. If necessary, only tighten castle nuts enough to remove any gap at each of the joints. Reinstall cotter pin by backing off nut to nearest hole.

  3. Lubricate suspension scissors using fittings (B) (six per assembly) with John Deere SD Polyurea Grease every 100 hours.
