During the break-in period, add John Deere Break-In™ or Break-In™ Plus Engine Oil, as needed to maintain the specified oil level. John Deere Break-In™ Plus Engine Oil can be used for all John Deere diesel engines at all emission certification levels. These oils will not allow the engine to break in properly. Operate the engine under various conditions, particularly heavy loads with minimal idling, to help seat engine components properly. Change the oil and filter at 100 hours maximum for Break-In™ Oil during the initial operation of a new engine.
