Preparing Machine with 24.4, 27.4 and 30.5 m (80, 90 and 100 ft) Boom for Transport on Semi-Tractor Trailer

  1. CAUTION: Suspension linkages can cause injury to you or others from movement when inflating or deflating air springs. Keep hands and body away from suspension linkage.

    A - Suspension Air Springs

    Empty solution tank and rinse tank.



  2. Deflate front and rear suspension air springs (A).

  3. Set wheels at 3048 mm (120 in.) tread setting.

    A - Foamer Boot

    Remove foamer boot (A) (if equipped) at end of each boom.

    A - Sight Gauge

    B - Transport Position

    C - Field Position

    4830 Only— Lower sight gauge (A) from field position (C) down to transport position (B).



  6. Completely fold booms.

  7. IMPORTANT: Do NOT tie boom wings to transport trailer.

    B - Breakaway Section Pad

    C - Breakaway Section

    D - Tie Location

    E - Tie Location

    F - Ladder

    Loosen nuts (A) and pivot breakaway section pad (B) down to position shown. Tighten nuts.



  8. Position breakaway section (C) tight to inner section and tie at location (D).

  9. Tie outer boom assembly to the intermediate boom section at location (E).

  10. Raise ladder (F) on right-hand side of machine and tie band in transport position.

    Place antenna in retainer (A) on cab roof.



  12. Drive machine onto trailer or truck.

    B - Strap

    Get down from machine and raise lower portion of ladder (A) into transport position. Retain with hook strap (B) as shown.
