Using Rinse System (Rinsing Solution Tank and Boom)

  1. CAUTION: Spray system can contain hazardous material which can cause serious injury or death to you or others. Wear protective clothing, eyewear, and gloves. Use rinse system in a area where people, animals, vegetation and water supply etc. cannot be contaminated.

    NOTE: After solution tank has been drained, complete the following steps when using rinse system to clean solution tank and boom assembly.

    A - Master ON/OFF Switch

    B - Solution Pump Switch

    Start machine and operate at 1800 rpm.



  2. Turn off master “ON/OFF” switch (A) and solution pump switch (B).

  3. IMPORTANT: To avoid chemical getting into rinse tank open Quik-Fill valve (A) and drain lines into bucket or suitable container. If lines do not drain in less than 1 minute contact your John Deere dealer.

    D - Bypass Valve

    Turn suction valve (B) to “RINSE TANK” position.



  4. Turn pressure valve (C) to “TANK RINSE NOZZLE” position.

  5. Turn bypass valve (D) to “NORMAL” position.

    A - Agitation Switch

    B - Agitation Valve

    C - Remote Pump Switch

    Depress agitation switch (A) to open electric agitation valve.



  7. Open agitation valve (B).

  8. Move remote pump switch (C) to “LOAD” position.

    NOTE: When using remote pump switch (C), pump is designed to come up to operating speed slowly. Engine speed will automatically increase to 1800 rpm.

  9. Add water to solution tank to thoroughly clean spray system. Add cleaning agents if necessary.

    A - Handle

    Slightly raise eductor and pull handle (A) to unlatch eductor.



  11. Lower eductor and raise lid.

    A - Eductor Flow Rate Valve

    The eductor flow rate valve (A) is a variable rate valve that controls the flow rate of the eductor. The farther “ON” the valve the greater suction created for the eductor.

    Turn eductor flow rate valve (A) to full “ON” position.

    B - Eductor Rinse Valve

    Open eductor hopper valve (A) (handle parallel with solution hose) to allow rinse solution to be drawn from eductor hopper.



  14. Open eductor rinse valve (B) (turn clockwise) to rinse eductor hopper.

  15. Close eductor rinse valve.

    B - Eductor Hopper Valve

    After verifying eductor is empty, close eductor flow rate valve (A).



  17. Close eductor hopper valve (B).

  18. Place lid back on hopper and lift eductor back to it’s original position.

    Turn suction valve (A) from “RINSE TANK” to “SOLUTION TANK” position.



  20. Turn pressure valve (B) to “SPRAY” position.

  21. Move remote pump switch (C) to “SPRAY” position.

  22. Turn on spray system and spray rinse water through boom assembly and fence nozzles (if equipped).
