Wet System Valves

Valve locations and operation are identical for both the 2 inch (Standard) or 3 inch (Optional) liquid systems.

Suction Valve

N80104
N80104-UN-03MAR08

A - Valve Handle

B - Solution Tank Position

C - Rinse Tank Position

Suction valve allows the operator to select which tank the solution pump draws from. With valve handle (A) in the “Solution Tank” position (B) shown, the solution pump will only draw from the solution tank. Rotating valve handle to the opposite direction to the “Rinse Tank” position (C) will close off the solution tank and allow the pump to draw only from the rinse tank.

Pressure Valve

N80105
N80105-UN-03MAR08

A - Valve Handle

B - Spray Position

C - Tank Rinse Nozzles Position

D - Bypass Position

Pressure valve allows the operator to direct the flow of solution once it exits the pressure side of the solution pump. With valve handle (A) in “Spray” position (C) shown, solution is directed to the spray boom for normal spraying operation.

With valve handle rotated to the left in the “Tank Rinse Nozzles” position (B) , solution is directed to the rinse nozzles inside the solution tank.

With valve handle rotated to the right in the “Bypass” position (D), solution is directed to solution tank when using the sprayers solution pump to load.

Quik-Fill Valve

N80107
N80107-UN-03MAR08

A - Valve Handle

Quik-Fill valve completes the connection between the nurse tank and the sprayer.

Once the nurse tank hose has been connected to the machine, rotate valve handle (A) until parallel with plumbing to open the connection between the nurse tank and the sprayer.

After filling procedure is completed, rotate handle back to the closed position as shown before disconnecting nurse tank hose from the sprayer.

Bypass Valve

N80108
N80108-UN-03MAR08

A - Valve Handle

B - Bypass Valve Decal

C - Normal Position

D - Bypass Position

Bypass valve allows the operator to select loading method.

To spray or load the sprayers solution tank using a nurse pump, valve handle (A) must be in the horizontal “Normal” position (C) as shown.

To load the sprayers solution tank using the sprayers solution pump, place valve handle in the vertical “Bypass” position (D). After loading the sprayer using this method, the handle must be rotated back to horizontal “Normal” position to resume spraying.

Decal (B) explains bypass valve functions.

Eductor Flow Rate Valve

N80106
N80106-UN-03MAR08

A - Valve Handle

B - Decal

C - Off Position

D - On Position

Eductor flow rate valve (A) allows the operator to direct solution to a venturi at the top of the solution tank. This venturi creates the vacuum needed to draw solution from the eductor into the solution tank.

Rotate valve handle to “On” position (D) to a horizontal position to create suction at the eductor.

Rotate valve handle back to a vertical position to “Off” position (C) to stop suction as shown.

Decal (B) explains eductor flow rate valve functions.

Eductor Hopper Valve

N63666
N63666-UN-13AUG03

A - Valve Handle

Eductor hopper valve (A) allows chemical to be drawn from bottom of eductor hopper to top of solution tank.

It is only operational when the eductor flow rate valve is open.

Eductor Rinse Valve

N63667
N63667-UN-13AUG03

A - Valve Handle

Eductor rinse valve allows operator to direct solution to rinse eductor hopper and rinse chemical containers.

Rotate valve handle (A) to rinse.

It is only operational when the eductor flow rate valve is open.

Agitation Flow Rate Valve

N76704
N76704-UN-14JUN07

A - Agitation Solenoid Valve

B - Valve Handle

Agitation flow rate valve allows the operator to regulate the amount of agitation inside the solution tank.

Turn on agitation solenoid valve (A) and then rotate valve handle (B) to create desired agitation in the tank.

For no agitation, rotate handle perpendicular to solution hose as shown, or turn off agitation switch in cab.

NOTE: To minimize foaming run at lower agitation rate.

Turn off agitation when tank volume drops below 378.5 L (100 gal) to prevent foaming and air in system.

Strainer Shut-Off Valve

N76705
N76705-UN-14JUN07

A - Strainer Shut-off Valve

Strainer shut-off valve (A) allows the operator to close the pressure line when cleaning the pressure strainers. Closing the pressure line limits the amount of solution that will drain and reduces the amount of air introduced to the system.

To open, rotate handle parallel to solution hose as shown.

To close, rotate handle perpendicular to solution hose.

NOTE: Close strainer shut-off valve when filling sprayer using nurse system pump to avoid air being forced into boom.

Flowmeter Shut-off Valve

N88061
N88061-UN-06APR10

A - Valve

Flowmeter shut-off valve (A) allows the operator to close the pressure line when cleaning the flowmeter(s). Closing the pressure line limits the amount of solution that drains and limits the amount of air introduced to the system.

To open, rotate handle parallel to solution hose

To close, rotate handle perpendicular to solution hose as shown.

CAUTION: Do not close the flowmeter shut-off valve with the solution pump running. This can trap pressure in the boom that can be hazardous when removing flowmeters for cleaning.

Solution Tank Valve

N60525
N60525-UN-17JUL02

A - Valve Handle

The solution tank valve is used to close off the solution tank from the rest of the wet system in case repairs are required in the system.

Rotate valve handle (A) perpendicular to solution hose as shown to close valve.

Rotate valve handle parallel to solution hose to open.
