Cleaning Flowmeter(s)—As Required

1. NOTE: Clean flowmeter(s) (A) as needed with John Deere Brake and Parts Cleaner if the following condition exists:

   • Application rates fluctuate

   A - Flowmeter Shut-off Valve

   Shut off solution pump.

2. CAUTION: Do not close the flowmeter shut-off valve with the solution pump running. This can trap pressure in the boom that can be hazardous when removing flowmeters for cleaning.

   Close flowmeter shut-off valve (A).

3. CAUTION: Do Not drain solution onto the ground. Drain into a container. Drain solution in an area where people, animals, vegetation, and water supply cannot be contaminated.

   B - Turbine

   Unscrew flowmeter inserts (A) and remove.

4. Clean insert with John Deere Brake and Parts Cleaner (Part No. TY26101) by spraying cleaner through internal rotor and bearing area..

5. Install insert in flowmeters.

6. Open flowmeter shut-off valve.
