TOUCHSET DEPTH CONTROL is an attachment that allows all depth
control settings and depth changes to be made from convenience of
tractor cab for John Deere 8000/9000 and 8020/9020 Series Tractors.
Single Point Depth Control and optional TOUCHSET DEPTH CONTROL
are mounted on machine at same time.
When 9-pin connector (F) is plugged in, letter "P" (see arrow)
will be displayed for SCV I.
NOTE: If letter “P” is not displayed on TouchSet
panel, shut off tractor engine and then start engine.
Set flow rate adjustment knob (B) to rabbit or fast position.
Set depth by pushing SCV I switch (A) forward to lower machine
to desired working depth, and then push cylinder retract limit touch
switch (D).
To set upper raise limit, pull back on SCV I switch until reaching
desired upper raise position. Push cylinder extend limit touch switch
(E).
TO OPERATE:
IMPORTANT: Turn single point crank clockwise until depth stop
bracket is against rear single point bracket to ensure that Single
Point Depth Control does not interfere with TOUCHSET DEPTH CONTROL
operation.
NOTE: Detent time adjustment knob (C) does not function in TOUCHSET
DEPTH CONTROL mode.
-
To raise implement to upper set point, pull SCV I switch rearward
into DETENT and release.
-
To lower implement to lower set point, push SCV I switch forward
into DETENT and release.
-
To raise machine to full transport, hold SCV I switch in rearward
DETENT position.
-
To readjust set points, raise or lower implement by holding
control mid-range between center and detent until implement is at
desired position then press upper or lower set button.
IMPORTANT: Depth gauge wheels must support frame for level tillage
results. Pulling depth gauge wheels completely off ground does not
help achieve maximum depth and causes unlevel tillage results.
