Checking Moistener Column Position

A - Moistener Pad

B - Spindle Dust Collar

Position of moistener column should be set so first fin of moistener pad (A) just touches front edge of spindle dust collar (B) as the spindle exits moistener pad. Top and bottom moistener pads should be set the same.

IMPORTANT: Moistener pads have been factory installed with fins perpendicular to spindle as shown. Excessive wear to spindle and spindle bushings can result if moistener pads are installed with fins parallel to spindle.

NOTE: Edge of moistener pad should not move more than one-half way up dust collar at point of farthest penetration of spindle.
