Checking Doffer Column Adjustments

A properly positioned doffer column has the following features:

• Doffer pads parallel to top of spindles when spindles are fully under pads.
• Upper housing positioned so doffer pads DO NOT gouge top spindle nuts and collars.
• Spindles lightly touch doffer pads as they enter, and clear as they leave.

Check doffer column height to make sure doffer pads lightly touch spindles at leading edge of pad.
