Using a Booster Battery

B - Positive Post of Booster Battery
C - Negative Post of Booster Battery
D - Engine Block of Stalled Machine
WARNING: Battery posts, terminals,
and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds, chemicals
known to the state of California to cause cancer and reproductive
harm. Wash hands after handling.
CAUTION: Gas given off by batteries is explosive. Keep sparks
and flames away from battery. Make last connection and first disconnection
at a point away from battery.
IMPORTANT: Always connect starter cable to positive (+) terminal
of battery and battery ground cable to negative (—) terminal
of battery. Reversed polarity in battery or alternator can result
in permanent damage to electrical system.
When jump starting, always remember the following:

Use batteries of same voltage.

Be sure both negative posts are grounded.

Check fluid for freezing.

Be sure machine is not touching another vehicle.

Turn all accessories off. Place multifunction control handle
in neutral. Turn ignition off. If using battery in another vehicle
as a booster, place transmission of boost vehicle in park or neutral
and engage park brake.

Attach clamps in order indicated and remove in exact opposite
order.

Connect positive (+) cable to positive post of discharged battery
(A) and the other end of the same cable to positive post (+) of booster
battery (B).

Connect second cable (negative) (—) to negative post of
booster battery (C).

Connect the other end of the negative (—) cable to the
engine block of the stalled machine (D), away from the battery. Stand
clear.

Start machine and remove cables in reverse order of connection.
