Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge
IMPORTANT: Prevent possible engine damage from overheating.
If needle on gauge rises into red zone, reduce load on engine to reduce
coolant temperature. If temperature remains in warning zone, stop
engine and investigate cause.

A - Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge
Engine coolant temperature gauge (A) indicates current engine
coolant temperature when key switch is in ON position.
When engine coolant temperature rises above 105 °C (220
°F), caution indicator light on corner post comes on and a pulsed
audible alarm sounds. The caution light remains on until coolant temperature
falls below 100 °C (212 °F).
If engine overheats, reduce load on engine by reducing ground
speed. Observe coolant temperature gauge. If needle on gauge remains
in warning zone or temperature continues to rise, shut off engine
and investigate cause. (See Troubleshooting section for possible causes
and solutions. See your John Deere dealer if no obvious cause of overheating
is found.)
