Adjusting Solution Pressure

IMPORTANT: Solution pump is engaged whenever cotton fan is engaged. DO NOT let solution pump run dry or seal damage can occur. Always remove solution pump drive belt for dry picking.

    Start and run engine at low engine speed setting.



  2. Move fan switch to ON.

  3. Push high engine speed button to increase engine speed to full throttle.

  4. Push solution pressure button (A) to show solution pressure setting on display unit (B).

  5. NOTE: Low moistener system pressure indicator activates a pulsed warning alarm when moistener system pressure drops below 13.8 kPa (0.14 bar) (2 psi) with fan engaged and engine speed greater than 1990 rpm.

    Adjust solution pressure with selection dial (C) until display readout is between 103—172 kPa (1.0—1.7 bar) (15—25 psi). To raise pressure, rotate knob clockwise; to lower pressure, rotate knob counterclockwise.

    Recommended pressure for average conditions is 138 kPa (1.4 bar) (20 psi).

  6. Press confirm button (D) to enter the new setting.

  7. Check and adjust pressure periodically throughout the day to meet changing conditions.
