A - Pressure Plates
B - Nuts
CAUTION: Moving spindles can cause death or injury if you or
others become entangled. Stay clear and use caution around moving
parts.
Repair worn or bent pressure plates and hinges before adjusting.
To check pressure plate clearance, rotate units SLOWLY using
the tether. (See OPERATING INSPECTION BYPASS SYSTEM in Operator Presence
System section.) If pressure plate moves as spindles pass by, adjust
pressure plate outward until contact between spindle and pressure
plate is eliminated as noted below:
NOTE: DO NOT back pressure plates away from spindles farther
than 6 mm (0.25 in.) or a white streak of cotton may be observed along
left-hand side of row.
Adjust top and bottom of pressure plates (A) evenly to specification
using nuts (B).
