Road and field modes are used to limit overall range of machine forward ground speed. Transmission mode 1 (low range) and mode 2 (high range) buttons are used to further limit maximum ground speed in road or field mode. Mode 1 and mode 2 switches can be selected while machine is moving to change speed range. Actual ground speed depends on engine speed setting and position of multifunction control handle.

Field Mode: Press road/field mode button (A) until green indicator light (B) is off. Maximum ground speed in field mode is 8.0 km/h (5.0 mph). Maximum ground speed in transmission mode 1 (low range) and mode 2 (high range) can be set individually.

Road Mode: Press road/field mode button until indicator light is on. When road mode is selected, machine defaults to transmission mode 1. Maximum ground speed in mode 1 is 14.5 km/h (9.0 mph). Mode 2 can be selected to allow speeds up to 27.4 km/h (17.0 mph).
