B - Pump Drive Gearbox Oil Filter

    C - Sight Gauge

    D - Breather

Park machine on a level surface in the harvest mode. Lower row units to ground. Shut off engine and remove key.

  2. Disconnect suction hose (A) from port at bottom of pump drive gearbox and drain oil into suitable container. Dispose of used oil properly.

  3. Remove and discard pump drive gearbox oil filter (B).

  4. Apply film of oil to gasket on new filter.

  5. Install filter and tighten 1/2 turn after gasket contacts mounting surface.

  6. Reconnect suction hose to port on gearbox. Tighten fitting.

  7. Fill gearbox with fresh oil until oil level is visible between marks on sight gauge (C). To add oil:

    1. Remove breather (D) from top of gearbox.

    2. Use funnel with long flexible spout and add oil through breather port.

    3. Install breather and tighten.

(See HYDRAULIC, HYDROSTATIC, AND TRANSMISSION OILS in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolants section for proper oil. See MACHINE SPECIFICATIONS in Specifications section for oil capacity.)

  8. NOTE: Clamp hose to restrict oil flow while disconnecting hose.
