Preparing Machine for Storage

If machine will not be operated for 30 days or more:

  1. Clean machine thoroughly inside and out to prevent rust.

  2. Clean spindles.

  3. IMPORTANT: Lubricate row units thoroughly after washing to protect against corrosion.

Do not direct high pressure spray at gearcase seals or gearcase vents.

Wash row units thoroughly, inside and outside. Make sure they are thoroughly dry. Spray entire picking mechanism with a rust-preventive oil.

  4. Lubricate machine completely. Grease threads on bolts used for adjustments. Run row units until all parts are thoroughly lubricated.

  5. IMPORTANT: Solution pump damage can occur if pump is operated without water in system.
