Key Switch

CAUTION: Sound horn before starting engine to clear people away from the machine.

To avoid the possibility of personnel injury or death, start ONLY from the operator seat. Do not start engine by shorting across starter motor terminals. Machine will start in gear if normal circuit is bypassed.

A - Off Position

B - Accessory Position

C - Accessory/Run Position

D - Start Position

Key switch is located on the right-hand side of the steering column and has four positions:

• OFF position (A) shuts off engine and all accessory functions.
• ACCESSORY position (B) allows accessories such as radio and windshield wiper to operate.
• ACCESSORY/RUN position (C) allows all accessories to operate and engine to run once it has been started.
• START position (D) is a momentary switch position that engages engine starter motor. Once the engine starts and the switch is released, it will return to ACCESSORY/RUN position. (See STARTING ENGINE in Operating the Machine section for important details on starting your machine.)
