Operate the Engine
Restarting Stalled Engine:
Restart stalled engine IMMEDIATELY to prevent excessive heat
buildup and possible turbocharger damage.
Stopping the Engine:
IMPORTANT: On Final Tier 4/Stage IV engine equipped sprayers,
do not disconnect battery for at least 4 minutes after sprayer stops.
Selective Catalyst Reduction system automatically purges lines of
diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) during this time, immediately after sprayer
is stopped. If adequate time is not allowed for lines to be purged,
any DEF remaining in lines can crystallize and plug lines. In freezing
weather, DEF will freeze and possibly burst lines.
-
Stop sprayer and press low idle engine speed switch.
-
Put multifunction handle in ”PARK” position
-
Turn ignition key to ”OFF” position and remove key.
CAUTION: Remove ignition switch key to help prevent accidents.
