Anhydrous Ammonia Tank
Exposure to anhydrous ammonia can cause serious injury or
death to you or others. Verify that machine has been properly bled
and NO anhydrous ammonia is present in lines BEFORE transporting.
(See BLEED ANHYDROUS AMMONIA SYSTEM in Service section.)
-
Attach tank to rear hitch using locking pin and secure with
safety chain. Consult anhydrous ammonia dealer on securing safety
chain correctly to hitches. (See ATTACH ANHYDROUS AMMONIA TANK in
Attaching and Detaching section.)
-
CAUTION: A safety chain will help control drawn equipment should
it accidentally separate from rear hitch. A runaway machine can cause
serious injury or death to you or others. Use appropriate adapter
parts, attach chain to tractor rear hitch. Provide only enough slack
in chain to permit turning. See your John Deere dealer for a chain
with a strength rating equal to or greater than gross weight of towed
machine.
Verify safety chain is securely attached to rear hitch.
-
Verify SMV is in place on nurse tank.
-
Secure tank supply hose.
