Before Entering Field Guidelines

Perform the following procedures on a hard, flat, level surface—preferably a concrete slab—before entering field.

1. Fully charge hydraulic system.

   • Unfold machine on level ground and hold SCV I lever back for five seconds at top of cylinder stroke.
   • Repeat this three times.
   • This rephases hydraulic system.
   
   

2. Level machine side-to-side. (See LEVELING MACHINE SIDE-TO-SIDE in Preparing Machine section.)

3. Level machine fore/aft—if equipped with hitch. (See LEVELING MACHINE FORE/AFT—WITH HITCH in Preparing Machine section.)

4. For rate controller and anhydrous ammonia applicator, refer to manufacturer's operation manual.
