Front Fold Cylinder—23-Row Machine Only

A - Wing-Fold Cylinder

Follow bleed procedure EXACTLY as shown. Hydraulic reservoir MUST be filled prior to bleeding and kept FULL throughout entire bleed procedure.

If performing bleed procedure on machines running different than 1800 rpm, bleed rate times MUST be adjusted to a 113 Lpm (30 gpm) per minute rate. Example: If tractor is running at 57 Lpm (15 gpm), then double all bleed times.

NOTE: See TROUBLESHOOTING section if proper responses are not observed during bleed procedure.

  1. CAUTION: Insure cylinders are supported firmly with wood block before bleeding cylinders. Wire could also be used to retain wheel module cylinders. Failure to do this may result in cylinder falling and causing serious injury to you or others.

    Support wing-fold cylinders.

  2. Remove and retain wing-fold cylinder rod end hardware (A).

  3. IMPORTANT: 23-ROW MACHINE— If replacing a cylinder on one side, the matching cylinder on the other side MUST be unpinned also. This will ensure all the air is removed during the bleed procedure.

    Support cylinders with wood block.

  4. Repeat process on all wing-fold cylinders.

  5. Verify tractor is full of hydraulic oil.

  6. Run tractor to 1800 rpm.

  7. Fully extend and retract all cylinders at least two times, maintaining hydraulic pressure at full extension for at least 30 seconds.

  8. Extend cylinders one more time, maintaining pressure at full extension for one minute.

  12. IMPORTANT: If an oil leak is found during bleed procedure, stop oil leak then restart procedure.

Extend cylinders and keep in continuous flow for 2 minutes.

  13. IMPORTANT: After machine is folded, confirm that cylinders ARE NOT UNDER LOAD by moving cylinders side-to-side. If under load, adjust as required.

Adjust wing-fold cylinder rods as required after folding machine to verify wings are NOT UNDER LOAD.
