Service Fuel Tank

Carry out service procedure described below every 500 hours, when the fuel tank is almost empty.

1. Drain water and sediments by first closing the fuel supply shut off valve (E). Remove the filler cap and then remove the drain plug (A).

2. Remove retaining screws and the fill strainer (C).

3. Clean the inside of the fuel tank by rinsing with clean diesel fuel. Remove the diesel tank access cover (B) and wipe clean the tank interior. Replace cover.

4. Dispose of waste according to employer and government guidelines.

5. When tank is empty, disconnect fuel line (D) and cap line. Remove the fuel line shut-off valve (E) and the suction strainer (F).

6. Clean suction and fill strainers (C & F) with solvent.

7. Install strainers (C & F), shut-off valve (E), fuel line (D), and plug (A).

8. Fill fuel tank with recommended fuel. Keep fuel tank full to reduce the buildup of condensation.
