Prime Piston Pump System
Piston pumps are used for the ground drive system and for the other variable speed functions. When either repairing a pump or hose and/or changing the hydraulic oil and filters, it is very important to remove all of the air from the system before starting the engine or damage will result. To bleed air from the system, remove the plug on the side of each pump until the air is out. When oil flows out steadily, without air bubbles, tighten the plug. Crank engine ten seconds to prime the pump. If the engine starts before the ten seconds, stop engine and resume cranking.
