Change oil in final drives if using 80W/140 synthetic oil.
NOTE:
This service should be done every 250 hours if using 80W/140 synthetic oil, but when the cane harvesters are frequently self transported between fields, traveling at high speeds for longer than average periods, or operating for time periods longer than 10 hours per day, it will be necessary to change the final drive oil more frequently to avoid breakdown and damage to the final drive components. Oil analyses are the most effective method to determining the oil change interval.
NOTE:
To prevent premature failure of sealed bearings, pump only 3 shots of grease into each fitting with a hand pump grease gun. Over-lubrication will damage the seals. Use recommended multi-purpose grease.

Lubricate the (2) scroll bearings. Optional outside scrolls also have (2) bearings.

Lubricate the (5) left feed roller bearings.
4.
Lubricate the (4) right feed roller bearings.

Lubricate the (2) chopper shaft support bearings.
6.
Lubricate the (4) elevator seal bearings.
7.
Lubricate the chopper curtain agitator bearing. (Option)
8.
Servicing engine:

Change the engine oil and engine oil filter if the Fuel Sulfur level is less than 0.05% (500 ppm) and the engine oil used is Standard Oil.

Replace engine fuel filters.

Replace fuel/water separator
-
Clean crankcase breather tube.

Inspect drive belts.

Service the Rear Axle (See "Rear Axle Service" in Service Section).
IMPORTANT:
Fuel system must be primed after filter replacement. Follow the instructions in the service manual for priming this system.
9.
Inspect Engine air pre-filter (See, "Checking Engine Air Pre-Filter" in Service Section).
10.
Lubricate the (1) fitting on each basecutter leg. The fitting is located beneath the drain plug and check valve.
