DTC List
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC or Fault or Service Codes) are supplied to give info on ECU, engine, injection pump, and sensor status. Codes are set up according to SAE Standard J1939 and are shown below for the APPLICATION DESCRIPTION HERE. To inform about level of Diagnostic Trouble Code (level of concern), lamp status shall be communicated via J1939 message DM1 or DM2. Hardware lamps driven by the ECU are used in this application. Fault codes have been divided up into groupings for Vehicle Specific and Application Specific. Vehicle Specific Faults are faults that are custom to the vehicle specific requirements. Typically, these are related to vehicle integration items such as throttles, vehicle to engine communication, and optional sensors. The Application Faults are specific to the engine.
