Prepare Harvester for Maintenance

Before carrying out the maintenance procedures detailed in the following pages and before leaving the operator's seat, park the harvester as described below, unless another position is specified. To prevent the possibility of fire damage, never park harvester unattended in the field or near unburned cane. Park harvester on a level surface overnight for an accurate fluid level check in the morning.

1. Remove debris and clean harvester.

2. Park harvester on level surface.

3. Lower elevator, topper, and crop dividers.

4. Engage parking brake.

5. Lift harvester suspension completely and free safety stops. Lower the harvester slowly until the suspension is locked.

6. Run engine at a low idle for 3-5 minutes before stopping to avoid damage to turbocharger.

7. Turn ignition switch OFF and remove key. Also remove the battery key switch of the starter key.

8. Attach a "DO NOT OPERATE" tag to the cab door handle, steering wheel or track controls.
