Avoid Injury from Thrown Objects
Extreme care must be exercised to avoid injury from thrown objects. Do not, under any circumstances, operate mower when other people are in the vicinity. Stones and other objects can be thrown great distances by the rotating cutting knives.
The rear deflector shield reduces the potential of having objects thrown from the mower. This deflector is an option and can be ordered from your John Deere dealer.
