Removing and Installing Gear Case
1.
Loosen drive shaft bearing mounting bolts (A).
2.
Remove bolts (B) from drive shaft shield support.
3.
Remove PTO driveline shield (C) by removing (4) bolts (D).
4.
Loosen (4) gear case support bolts (E).
5.
Slide the gear case forward in the grooves to release bolt heads.
6.
Pull up the gear case towards the opposite side of the drive shaft.
7.
Install gear case in reverse order of removal using the following special instructions:

Apply multipurpose grease on gear case output shaft.

Tighten bolts to specifications.

8.
Install PTO driveline shield (C) on the correct hole locations (F) as illustrated.
NOTE:
Shims have been installed at the factory on the gear case base to align the drive shaft with the right pulley. Keep shims in same location when removing and installing the gear case.
