Checking Gear Case Oil Level

A - Oil fill plug

B - Oil level plug

IMPORTANT: Help prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering the gear case. Clean area around fill plug before removing it.

Exceeding maximum oil capacity will cause overheat and damage the gear case components. Always check oil level when gear case is completely leveled.

Add API GL-5 SAE 85W/140 oil through fill plug (A) until the oil reaches the oil level plug (B).

The maximum oil capacity is approximately 0.9 L (1.0 U.S. qt).

IMPORTANT: Lubricate PTO driveline with John Deere EP Moly Grease or and equivalent SAE multipurpose type grease.
