Break-in the New Mower

1. Before starting the mower check the oil level in the gear case and lubricate the machine. Add oil if necessary. (See Lubrication and Maintenance Section).

2. Start tractor engine and while idling, slowly engage PTO. Let the mower run slowly for a few seconds and observe moving parts to see that they operate freely.

3. Increase engine speed and operate mower at rated speed for a few minutes. Disengage PTO and stop tractor engine; check the mower to see that all nuts and bolts are tight. Verify oil level in the gear case. Add oil if necessary.

CAUTION: Always disengage power and shut off tractor engine before dismounting from tractor.
