CAUTION: Be sure rotor have stopped completely before checking knife fasteners.

IMPORTANT: Inspect immediately after hitting an obstruction and when replacing knives. Check and torque knife bolts to 115 N•m (85 lb-ft) before the mower is operated.

The knife fasteners (bolts, nuts, mounting clip and rings) must be replaced:

  1. A visible deformation is found.

  2. The lock nuts have lost their locking ability.

  3. Wear on rings or mounting clips is excessive.

  4. When the diameter of the bolt is worn more than 3.2 mm (1/8”).
